In a RIF (Reduction In Force) situation the administration will use the seniority list which is available in your school to determine who is cut.  Keep in mind that some people fall under different or multiple categories when looking at the list.

Will I get to teach in the assignment I want?  Will I get to bid on positions?
Administration has the right to move/put anyone where they want so long as they are certified to teach in that assignment.  Bidding is only for new or vacated positions that the district is going to keep.  The LEA has asked that  after this is finalized and staffing is established that our members at least get to put in a request of where/what they want to teach.  The administration does not have to follow those requests, but it would be nice if they at least asked   us.
